Update on doggie...

Echo seems to be fine. She went to the vet who gave us antibotics and told us to feed her chicken and rice for a few days. We did that and she seems better, she is eating and being playful again.

We think Doggie has a Tummyache

Our poor doggie has a tummyache we think. She has been having potty trouble and hasn't been eating much. Rich called me to make an appointment to go see the Vet, so I made one for 2:30 and left a message on his cell phone. But I haven't heard if he has gotten it or not and I don't want to be charged for missing an appointment (if they do that there). Grr to not being able to get a hold of my husband. And since it is not a real emergancy I don't think I should call the school and have them find him.

Beauitful Sunday

This past Sunday was a beautiful day, one of the best we have had in a while. Rich and I went horse back riding (Lee's Riding Stable in Litchfield) early afternoon and then for a picnic (Topsmead in Litchfield), it was nice and relaxing. Then later on we took, Echo out to Veteran's Memorial Park in Watertown and let her off the leash. She ran and ran around in circles, she had such a good time. She looked like she really enjoyed herself. We will have to do it more often, because she did listen when we called her to come in to go home. Such a good girl.

Poo

Yes poo, also known as poop. Dog poop in particular. Ive noticed something when on walks with Echo, there are some nonresponsable people around that do not pick up their dog's poop and since it's just laying there I notice it and it's black. My dog poops brown, I'm assuming that that's the healthy one and not the black poop. Anyone with an idea?

I've had enough of work; don't want to be here anymore

I have worked in retail for 14 years. I'm currently a manager of a small jewelry store and I just don't want to be here anymore. I've worked part time and full time for 10 years here and I'm so over customer service. I'm slipping. I'm on the computer more than not, I have no enthusiasm for the product. I just don't care anymore. I don't want to work retail anymore. I just don't know what to look for.

It's going to be a long day...

I'm so tired and I'm by myself at work today. I already have a headache. I just want to go home and sit with the doggie.

Cats and Dogs

Cats and Dogs don't mix.  We are staying at my parents house to keep an eye on my elderly Grandma who lives in her own apartment in my parents house. Anyway my parents' two cats have met our dog Echo. The meetings weren't planned and the cats started it. Felix the shy cat came down the stairs to the family room and everything seemed ok. They were checking each other out from a distance well then all hell broke loose, fur was raised and a screech was heard. Our Echo who hides behind us when another dog passes (large or small) went from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds and went after Felix. My quick reflexes went into action and got everyones attention. Felix went behind the end table and chair, Echo stood in the middle of the room with a "what?" look on her face.  Rich went for Echo and I went for Felix to get him away from the situation. Felix ran downstairs and I shut the door behind him. Rich decided to try and teach Echo sit and stay. That only went so far. While that was going on, I hear Oliver, the other cat, looking to come out from his location (which was not where he was supposed to be not that really matters). I moved the door and he came running out to the kitchen where the staring contest began.  After eyeing each other for about 5 minutes, I picked up Oliver and walked him into the family room in my arms (yes probably pretty stupid, but I've been scratched before). I stood with him in my arms and then went down to the ground where Echo was so they could see each other. Echo smelled Oliver's butt and Oliver didn't really like that but dealt with it.  I got as far as letting Oliver go and having Echo free, but only for a few minutes since I had to sit in the middle of them so I could catch them if they went for each other. Rich took Echo and I let Oliver go, Oliver was getting tired so he went into the kitchen and we wouldn't let Echo go in there. Oliver in the end went downstairs and Echo was left with Oliver's scent on my shirt which he took much interest in.

All in all Dogs and Cats don't mix, but they should met since they are apart of my family and are very important to me.

Annoying....

It really annoys me when I'm talking to my mother on the phone and she is telling me I'm being mean/short/raising my voice at her and then she complains that I don't call her. Hmm let me think about that one.

Garbage

Why is it that we let the garbage go all the way to the top of the pail where it actually can't be opened when we walk by the garbage dumpster everyday walking Echo?

Little House on the Praririe the Musical?

I was online looking at yahoo news and say the headlines Little House the Musical expands show. I just has to check out the website they listed. http://www.guthrietheater.org/prairie

I don't really get much out of the website. I can't picture the Little House the Prairie as a musical, but what do I know.

PS Melissa Gilbert the original Laura on the tv show is staring as the mother!?!

Our girl Echo adopted July 12, 2008 from DAWS

My first attempt....

Lets see if I can get this to work. Actually I'm supposed to be at work, which I am, but I'm taking an early lunch and making this blog.
